Rad meets rad zen, we've teamed up with our favorite yoginis at Supta for a little sartorial PDA. Come share the love...
Greydon House has style and hospitality for days, a combination we deeply appreciate. We've been known to grab a room for the night in the off-season for fun, you should do the same this holiday season. Also doesn't hurt that the attached restaurant, Via Mare, is one of the island's best (food and staff-wise) and all in-house catering is provided by local gourmands The Green Market. It's a pretty potent combination, do yourself a favor.
Gary Kohner and his NISS has been "pushing groms into bombs" for almost 3 decades, spreading the gospel of stoke to generations of Nantucketers. The OG also gathers some of the islands best young surfers as instructors, so whether you're a grom or just surf-curious, get in touch with NISS and get in the water!
Tell Syd we said "hi", Henry Jr is our go-to for sandwiches, heroes, and more. If somehow you've missed it we're here to help you fix that. Fun fact, sandwiches run in the family, Syd's brother, Matt Fee, owns our other sandwich haunt, Something Natural.
The original, these hoodies (we have crewnecks too) come in 4 colors, grey (pictured), bone, navy and black and are as beefy and cozy as sweats get. This time of year, we leave it in the on on the truck dashboard so it gets warm and then start fixating on putting it back on about halfway through the session.
Hyphenate renaissance man Jordan Johnson is the force behind EVERYDAYS STUDIO, and this season we teamed up with him on these rad sweats which were handcrafted in NYC by Jordan and LW Pearl Atelier. For this first run there are only one of each size in each color and style so don't sleep on it. We also have beanie's from EVERYDAYS and more things to come (Spring '23 spoiler alert).
Do we even need to say much here, look at these sweaters? Each one made to order in Belgium by Marian Delgra (aka POM), they are the definition of hygge (look it up). With a yarn that is softer than cashmere (yes, possible) knit up in a chunky gauge in our favorite POM silhouettes, they're like cuddling a litter of puppies.
Speaking of cuddling puppies, this jacket isn't far off. Founded in the PNW back in 1993, Manastash has been reborn by way of Tokyo and this super warm and windproof sherpa fleece with recycled denim trim is one of their signature coats. And the color, as much blue as it is purple, harkens back to the original classic Patagonia Retro-X cardigans of the 80's. This one's a safe bet.
There are a few now, well 3 that we know of and carry (two different creators), all super inspiring and very much in our heads as we created the STOKE ACK shop. They're also the books we end up recommending most as a gift so...
Rob Machado has spent years perfecting his design and who are we to argue with a legend? One of our favorite all-around boards, it truly rips on bigger, hollower days and can serve as a quasi-log when it gets smaller and mushier. We know, we were cynical too, but it really does.
